Thought I'd add an oldie to my collection, this is a barndoor bus so called because of the larger rear engine hatch compared to later models. These Barndoors were the first batch of buses made by Volkswagen from 1949-1955 so tend to go for more money these days!
This one's just as I like 'em, slammed, rolling on a set of highly polished rims (Porsche Fusch if anyone's curious!)
The usual gear - A4 Daler Rowney heavyweight paper, H thru 9B pencils, 0.3 and 0.5 mechanical pencils, putty eraser, blending sticks, cotton balls.
Cropped a little and added quick frame in Photoshop.
great job I love it its fantastic how long does it take you to draw these?

Thanks! and yes they are.
Very popular in the Volkswagen scene too, my pal had a set on his bus at one time (still has them stored away somewhere!), and you see alot on beetles too.

Thanks, they usually take 10-15 hours but over a week or two due to my full time job but this one I managed to do in the 3 days I had off work which is a record for me!

you create your own reality. if you dont create your own reality, then someone is doing it for you. if someone is doing it for you then that would explane why your reality sucks
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
