Here's some work in progress shots of my latest drawing.

It shows my usual way of working through a piece from top to bottom and left to right which I tend to do so that I'm not leaning over finished parts. I do use a blank sheet of paper anyway though to cover the bits I'm not working on which prevents unwanted dirt or graphite getting on the paper.

Unlike alot of my work, I only used one reference photo for this so it's pretty much like for like, mainly for the reason that I thought it was a cool photo of a cool car anyway. I used blending stumps and cotton buds (Q-tips) for the first time after all these years not knowing about them (a great D.A. tip!) aswell as a kneaded eraser which I found was invaluable.

As the car had alot of detail anyway, I decided on a simple shaded background which I'm disapointed with really, think I need more practice blending!! The grille was also a sore point that I couldn't get spot on and was frustrating but all in all an enjoyable drawing that will hopefully improve my skills for the next one...
